About Suminigashi:
Suminagashi, “floating ink”, is the Japanese term for a practice developed in China about 2000 years ago. In suminagashi, alternating rings of ink and a surfactant (such as ox gall, pine needle resin or dish soap) are floated on water. The image is then manipulated, usually by blowing on it, and transferred to paper.
Date: Saturday, December 12 from 1-2:30pm
Ages: 6 & up (An adult collaborator (parent/caregiver) must be present for those under 16.)
Cost: $55 per adult & child pair // $75 for 1 adult & 2 children (Members get 10% off at check out.)
Location: In-person class in MoNA’s Art Studio.
All supplies provided! Come dressed for mess!
