Zentangle 101 w/ Sara Harlan
Curious about Zentangle? Be inspired by the calm of MoNA’s permanent collection while diving into this mindful method of creativity! This beginner-friendly class introduces the relaxing and rewarding method of creating beautiful images using simple, repetitive patterns. The Zentangle Method is easy to learn, requires no previous drawing experience, and invites you to slow down, focus, and enjoy the creative process one line at a time.
Art, Creativity, and Immigrant Youth with Lakeya Afolalu - A Humanities Washington Talk
Young people across the U.S.—and especially in Washington—are growing up between languages, countries, and cultures. In this talk, explore how immigrant and transnational youth, particularly girls of color, use the arts to express their identities while navigating transnational lives and multilingualism.

Go beyond the wall plaque to see new ways of looking at an object or a piece of art through guided observations and writing exercises. Along the way, we’ll forge new relationships with art, the museum, and one another.
