Want to experiment with alternative image-making? Explore making photographs in this hands-on workshop with wand scanners and pinhole cameras. Participants will be introduced to a selection of artists and approaches, learn to use wand scanners as cameras on a variety of surfaces, and then build simple pinhole cameras to couple with the wand scanners. No prior photography experience required, just a playful and curious state of mind!
A Friends of the Anacortes Community Forest Lands Educator will be joining us to share forest specimens to inspire our image-making!
Class Date: Saturday, September 19 from 1:00-4:00pm
Cost: $70 (Members get 10% classes and workshops at checkout!)
Ages: 12 and up - no experience needed! Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult collaborator.
In person class in the MoNA Art Studio. Supplies included! Participants should bring a USB storage drive if you would like to save your work.
