Age Range/Experience Level: All ages are welcome! This is a collaborative workshop, so pairs or more are highly encouraged!
Create keepsake cards together! In this family friendly workshop, adults and children will collaborate to make keepsake greeting cards featuring beautiful winter scenes of the Skagit Valley Winter, when the trumpeter swans and snow geese are visiting from their arctic summer homes. The young artists on each team will create colorful fields and textures of color and the adults will carve the linoleum printing block featuring the printed portion of the design.
About Don Wesley:
Don Wesley is an imaginative art teacher who brings creativity, inclusivity, and cultural relevance into every class he teaches. Taking pride in making complex ideas accessible to young learners, he inspires curiosity while fostering collaboration among students and fellow educators. Don's lesson plans connect art with the sciences and technology in ways that are engaging and transferable for the students. His favorite approach is to create place-based projects to help students better connect to the world around them. In addition to maintaining his own active art practice, Don works as a freelance art teacher with the Museum of Northwest Art's Creative Connections program and currently holds a teaching residency with Snohomish County Schools through Spark! How to Register for a Class

You will receive a confirmation email after step 5 is completed.

MoNA’s Class Cancellation Policy
If MoNA cancels the class, the student has two options:
100% Non-transferable refund
Generously choose to donate the full amount to support MoNA's Education Programs. The student will receive a letter acknowledging their donation for tax purposes.
If the student decides to cancel the class, they have the following options based on timing of cancellation:
Cancels seven days or more before class:
The student has the option of 100% non-transferable refund or can generously choose to donate the full amount to support MoNA's Education Programs. The student will receive a letter acknowledging their donation for tax purposes.
Cancels less than seven days before the class or a no show:
The student is not eligible for a refund. These funds will be considered a generous donation to support MoNA's Education Programs and the student will receive a letter acknowledging their donation for tax purposes.

The facility is wheelchair accessible and an elevator is available in the back of the building

Limited seating is provided throughout the galleries and studio space
Restrooms are available on both floors of the museum. Changing tables are available in the restrooms on the 2nd floor and an all-gender restroom is available on the 1st floor of the museum
