Community Connections
We collaborate with a range of organizations to meet their unique needs, including creating free art supply kits, providing custom educational experiences, and facilitating art activities in partnership with local groups. Read about some of our partnerships below or visit our Outreach page to learn about other programs.
Visiting Partnerships
One way we build partnerships is to tailor museum tours to meet the needs of partner groups. We regularly arrange tours for students from Western Washington University, Leadership Skagit groups, and more. Reach out to us to schedule a tour!
WWU Student Broadsides
Dr. Nancy Pagh's Viking Launch students from Western Washington University visit the museum each September to write responses to works of art and designed broadsides using a detail from each art work. Click here to view student work.
Poets on the Coast
This writing retreat for women is directed by Susan Rich. Participating poets explore the current museum exhibitions and write poems inspired by the variety of art works they discover. Click here to learn more and read the poetry created in the retreats.
Free Art Supply Kits Inspired by NW Artists
We provide custom art supply kits to support local organizations to fulfill their missions. Each kit is inspired by a Northwest artist and includes the supplies to create projects ranging from sculpture to collage. Email us to learn more!
Community Partnerships
It is an honor to support organizations like Voices of the Children and El Estudio de Arte Familiar del Centro de Trabajadores del Campo in fulfilling their missions. We are stronger and can better support our community when we work together! Please email education@museumofnwart.org to connect with us.
Bringing NW Art to Festivals & Events
We design, facilitate, and support unique art activities to bring Northwest Art to a range of festivals and events. We’ve collaborated with various partners in the past, including the Skagit Watershed Council, local libraries and more. Email us to inquire about supporting your organization with an event.
