On behalf of the Board of Trustees and staff, the Museum of Northwest Art is excited to announce that MoNA XLV: Sapphire Dream, this year’s MoNA Art Auction that will take place on May 30, 2026.
This year, the Museum celebrates 45 years as the epicenter of Northwest art, creativity, and opportunity for enrichment. Here’s the schedule for one of the most sensational and lively fundraising events in the cultural landscape of the Pacific Northwest, the MoNA Art Auction!

This highly anticipated and beloved celebration will once again bring together collectors, artists, and art enthusiasts for a memorable evening of bidding, scrumptious food, and support, where new records will be set.
Every year, in one spectacular night, the MoNA Art Auction gathers 200 major donors and friends of the Museum and raises over $400,000 in support of MoNA’s exhibitions, free and low-cost programs, free admission year-round, free membership for youth, and the vitality of local artist and business communities. All of this represents a direct investment in the future of our community, and MoNA would not be able to do so without the sponsorship and support of community partners.
We expect to showcase 250+ remarkable works of art and unique experience packages, all available for spirited bidding in the Silent and Live auctions. In addition, MoNA’s extensive marketing and promotion campaign will create buzz and build anticipation for the auction, ensuring all sponsors reach an audience of influential community leaders and arts patrons.
We invite you to join us in 2026 as we plan another exceptional celebration. 2026 Art Auction Calendar
Friday, May 15: Auction Prelude Party – Join MoNA Auction artists, major donors, and Collectors Club members for an exclusive Private Art Preview of the Auction the night before it goes live. There will be special recognition for MoNA Art Auction sponsors at the event.
Saturday, May 16 — Sunday, May 31: Silent Auction
Come to MoNA and explore 250+ artworks and art experiences featured in the Silent and Live sections of the MoNA Art Auction. The Silent Auction is open for online bidding starting at 10 am Saturday May 16—bid anytime, anywhere to bring home your favorite work of art. View the complete catalog in person or online and have your bids in by 5:00 pm on Sunday May 31!
Saturday, May 30: MoNA XLV: Sapphire Dream Live Event!
Doors open at MoNA at 4pm for the pre-event cocktail hour. Enjoy a selection of fresh oysters, delectable locally-sourced appetizers, drinks, and live music
At 5pm guests will leave MoNA and parade down the street to Maple Hall located in the heart of historic downtown La Conner. At 5:30pm, we begin a three-course Seated Dinner and Live Auction with auctioneer extraordinaire Ian Lindsay. Celebrate MoNA by bidding on the live auction items and raising your paddle in support of the Museum.
