Public Docent Tours

Join a MoNA docent for a short tour of the current exhibition on the second Saturday of each month from 11:00-11:45am. Click the button below to RSVP!

School Tours

MoNA offers free tours for schools and youth groups serving pre-K and K-12 students.

Museum tours last 1-2 hours depending on your age group and availability, and include student-centered discussions, a hands-on art lesson, and a VTS literacy activity for classrooms and organizations serving students 3rd grade and above.

Self-Guided School Tours are also available. We ask that you notify us in advance and follow MoNA’s self-guided tour standards (in English/ Español) for group tours. Please bring at least one adult chaperone for every five students.

Some MoNA exhibitions may contain mature content, and we understand that this may be a sensitive issue for families. Therefore, we work closely with teachers and school administrators, and we recommend teachers become familiar with exhibition content before visiting with their students. You may contact MoNA’s education staff at education@museumofnwart.org or at (360) 466-4446 with any concerns or needs, and we will support you and your class.

To schedule a tour, please review MoNA’s guidelines (in English/ Español) and then fill out the tour request form. Please note tours must be scheduled at least two months in advance.

The Museum of Northwest Art (MoNA) uses photographs, photographic images, names, and audio and video recordings of students for general publicity in publications, public relations, promotions, publicity, and advertising. Any students (or the parents or guardians of such persons, if under age 18) who do NOT want to be photographed or recorded, or to have their names, voices, or biographical materials used in connection with any such recording, must complete a Photo Opt Out Release form (available in both English & Spanish) and return it to a classroom teacher or MoNA.
