Instructor: Claire Swedberg
Sunday, April 2 & Sunday, April 9, 1:30-3:30pm
Cost: $60
Does your family have stories passed on through the generations? Have you had your own experiences you want to share with future generations? Memories of our ancestors and the lives they lived fade within a few generations, and even oral history changes with each storyteller. This workshop offers you the chance to preserve your family stories, your way, so that they can come to life for generations to come.
Beginning and experienced writers will have the opportunity to put pen to paper before the family stories are lost.  Author and writing instructor Claire Swedberg will lead you through the story selection, and writing process while providing support to help structure your narrative and move your story forward. By the end of the program, you will have completed and revised a draft of at least one story, which Claire will edit for style, grammar and syntax. In class you will share your work with your fellow classmates and provide constructive feedback to help bring out the best in your writing. Writing work will be done in class and at home.
Cost: $60 (10% discount for museum members). Sign up and click here to pay online.
