Lynn Ries Vice President, Development and Financial Planning Committees

Lynn Ries retired from banking after a 39-year career working for Peoples Bank (acquired by U.S. Bank) for 30 years and then Citigroup Private Bank. She lived in the Bellevue & Seattle area until moving to La Conner full time in 2012.

Meghan Rice Finance Committee

Raised in LaConner, Meghan Rice joined the MoNA Board in 2015. She earned her BA from Washington  State University where she attended the university’s Honors College and holds an MBA from Seattle University.

Lorne Render Auction Committee Co-Chair, Collections and Governance Committees

Lorne Render served as the Director of the Marianna Kistler Beach Museum of Art for 12 years. He was also Executive Director of the C.M. Russell Museum, and Head of the Exhibit Design department of the Royal Ontario Museum.

Gary Molyneaux President, Executive and Governance Committees

For 30 years, Gary Molyneaux has held leadership positions in non-profit arts and community organizations. He chairs the King County International Airport’s Public Art Program and served on the Museum of Flight’s Public Art Selection Committee for the Connecting Bridge Project.

Gretchen McCauley Governance Committee Chair

Gretchen McCauley is a retired school administrator who holds a BA degree from Washington State University, an MA degree from Teachers College at Columbia University, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Seattle University. Gretchen has been on the MoNA board for a number of years and,

Steve Klein Collections and Facilities Committees

In 1996, after a 25 year career in industrial sales, Steve Klein decided to follow his heart and dreams to work full time as an artist. Steve currently lives in La Conner and has a studio just outside of town. His work is represented in museums and galleries internationally.

Betsy Humphrey Development Committee

Betsy Humphrey joined the board in April of 2015 following her husband’s (Rich)  six year stint on the board.  She has been a Docent since their move to Skagit County in 2005.  She served five years on the MoNA Style Committee and co-chaired it in 2010.  She also served five years on the Auction

David Hall Facilities Committee Chair

David Hall is an architect practicing out of his own firm, STUDIOEDISON. He received his BA degree from Washington State University in 1968.

Chris Elliott Education and Collections Committees

Chris Elliott, a painter and jewelry artist, is an artist advocate and committed supporter of related institutions in the Northwest.

MoNA collects and exhibits contemporary art from across the Northwest, including Alaska, British Columbia, California, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington.
